He’s the champ and has the biggest machine behind him. But honestly I don’t see it happening while Bob Arum breathes air. Arum just burned Haymon with the Wilder rematch. Also both guys want to get paid. I can’t see either side settling for anything less than a 50/50 split.

Remember Teo just took less money to get the Loma fight and I can’t see him doing that again. And he’s the champ now. Tank is also popular and has a great team behind him. I can’t see how both sides come to an agreement.

I can’t disagree with any of that, but if there’s one guy who deserves more, it’s Lopez. If tank was some canelo level ppv star, then he’d have more clout in negotiations, but he’s not. Timing will probably kill this fight anyway.

You’re right but egos are involved. I see Floyd delaying negotiations until they build Tank up to where he’s as close to the A-side as he can be. The key is whoever beats Ryan Garcia will have the edge IMO. If I were Teo that would be my number one priority because we know Ryan and Tank want to fight each other. If Teo can take Ryan out of the equation it would be one hell of a chess move.
