Have you ever heard of fighters such as Willie Pep, Sugar Ray Robinson, "Sweet Pea" Whitaker, Roy Jones, Jr., Sugar Ray Leonard, and Floyd Mayweather, Jr.? Every single one of these boxers mentioned has a better defense than Winky. Hell, Willie Pep is the only boxer in history credited with winning a round in which he never threw a punch. How's that for defense?

thats not even an insult. lol. Pep was a great fighter with as much grace and style as a fighters defense can get. He is an all time great, and arguably a top 10 great of all time, any weight.

Sugar Ray Robinson was the p4p best fighter of all time, no question about it. He did everything great. It is a complete honor to even have ur name mentioned underneath his.

Jones Jr. was just rediculously good, but his defense was 90% based on his amazing reflexes. after they went, so did his defense. He hardly had a defense, his reflexes were just so far and beyond everyone else that he could see, dodge, or block punches that were comin in. lol. i would rank winky's defense above his without a question.

Whitaker and leonard had great defenses obviously, but winky wright is just such an a great defender, i could easily be argued into ranking winky above these guys in terms of defense.

And here is the thing with PBF. His defense is awsome, but like RJJ, its a lot of his reflexes. which is great and still lets u have a great defense.

but IMO and the way i see it, to be able to stand directly in front of a guy like jermain taylor or Fernando Vargas, and NOT get hit at all anywhere on ur body, lets ur defense rise above a lot of great defenses out there. Sure, an accurate puncher who picks his shots, like hopkins, could slip jabs inbetween the guard on occasion, but his defense is still nearly inpenatratable.

Guys like PBF, SRR, SRL, WP, they never stood right in front of an opponent and got away with it. especially PBF and SRL. Thats how "I" and others, rank defense, and thats why i think winky has some of the greatest defensive abilities to ever hit the sport.

as far as P4P #1, its hard to put him ahead of PBF, But its not ABSURD. i would have winky at 2

i fail to see how u could NOT have PBF in the top 3. its not even arguable. You may think he is over-rated, but there has been nothing to prove that at all.

And hatton, my favorite active fighter, should not be anywhere near the top 5 p4p. idc what anybody says, he simply hasnt showed that he deserves it. Top 10 is reasonable, but i wouldnt be appalled if someone said that THAT was a stretch. i currently have him at the 8 slot.

And neither hatton NOR mayweather are over-rated. Hattons gonna make a great fight with castillo(currently the most under-rated fighter in the world IMO, on this forumn it goes to ruiz though)

and then mayweather will dismantle HOF greats, Sugar shane and dlh.
