thats precisely why it’s a huge mismatch not worthy of Ppv!! And Pbc/Floyd almost always desire a Hispanic fighter in the other corner for their fanbases....No way Davis v Haney ...Davis v GRJ ...Davis v Stevenson will sell on Ppv. Mares was their initial cherry-pick until he got injured. Floyd did the same thing for the most part - Ortiz, Guerrero, Cotto, Maidana, Marquez. Am Hispanic myself btw. And Davis is gonna walk right thru him bc Leo has no power, is slower, smaller, and past his prime! He just collecting his one and only Ppv check!

It's rare that PBC ever pits two black fighters against each other. That trend has been obvious for quite a while IMO & if you look at most of Davis' opponents, he is a prime example. The fact that most of Floyd's biggest fights needed a Spanish fighter to really put up the numbers he was putting up on PPV showed how little support he really had from his own people. Can't knock another man for his people supporting him just bc the other guy's people don't. That's on them for supporting their own.

Yea - Lsc is gonna try for sure and go “out on his shield” ...but is a mismatch showcase for Davis - hence the 5 to 1 odds. Would have been Mares facing Davis if not for injury - which would have been an even bigger mismatch!!

Berto was very talented, but when things got rough, he struggled or lost against every name opponent he fought that wasn't over the hill. Broner, as much as he was asking for a whooping like that, is not a WW and just went up bc Paulie was the weakest titlist and had no power threat. They just thought his skills would pay the bills against the bigger Maidana and he need more than his skills that night. Two more guys that would be lesser Hispanic fighters for tune-ups left and right.

I think it's just the usual "boosting" up the fight. He has 39 fights, 19 KOs (inc TKO and Retd), of which 9 (1/2) came in 4 rders,6 rders and a couple of 8 rders.

So he obviously doesn't have much of a punch.(poetry not intended)

Leo looks bigger and in shape. He's just facing the wrong guy. He'd have had more of a chance against Loma or Lopez. This is just a bridge too far.
