Bob Arum assumed between two and three million viewers would watch the Teofimo Lopez-Vasiliy Lomachenko fight live on ESPN. It still wasn't until Nielsen's numbers became available three days after Lopez upset Lomachenko on October 17 that Arum could breathe a sigh of relief. With viewership for boxing and other sports down during the COVID-19 pandemic, the 88-year-old promoter sensed how important viewership of that fight was for the foreseeable future of boxing on free and cable television.

I guess this means there will be no “American takeover” for little Edward, his council estate minions, and the Blockbuster Video app?

Exactly! I would add that IF YOU MUST do a PPV, then it should be stacked like the Charlo PPV!

What it means is that $70.00 for one of Haymon's A-side versus no chance don't sell because they're not worth paying for.

How do those numbers stack up against the other high profile events that happened recently? Such as the NBA finals etc.

I expected good numbers and it surpassed my expectations by a lot. Its no wonder that TR were getting ****ty ratings most of the year, they were half assing it with stuff people didnt care about. Put on a big fight and people will tune in, simple.
