This probably ends one of two ways. Either GBP and DAZN come together and clarify the contract language to move forward. Or the damage is done and they come to a buyout and Canelo moves on.
I think at this point a buyout is the more likely option.
DAZN is hemorrhaging subscribers and battling their biggest draw in court for years might bury them.
Oscar told Canelo too take the GGG fight, he ignored and played diva, ignoring the needs of his business PARTNERS in GBP & DAZN. DAZN pockets are deep, they’re not cowtailing to Canelo who is an athlete fighting on borrowed time. Meanwhile, Goldenboy cards continue on DAZN. Only one losing is Canelo, adjust like fighters as Fury & AJ are, or STFU go to court when you have zero chance getting out of your contract with GBP.

This was ALWAYS going to arbitration for renegotiation. The reality is that they are symbiotic, the whole is financially greater than the sum of their parts.
If they are smart they'll work it out and if not, they'll go from the Beatles to Yoko Ono/Plastic Band, Traveling Wilburys and Wings. Good? Sure! Financially successful? Oh hell no, not even close!

Not just that but the kicker in all this is DAZN doesn’t have a force majeure clause in their contract w/t Golden Boy which means they end up holding the bag of $h1tt when all this is over.

DAZN then tried to force it by denying fights like Andrade and Canelo ended up losing his Sept date last year.
This is all on Golden Boy. They work for Canelo not the other way around and their incompetence has caused this rift.

I can’t wait to see just how much the Blockbuster Video boxing app has lost on Edward Hearn
