Disagree. They are from entirely different eras & 2 divisions apart. Spare me the bs of Manny going back down to 140 that's been getting talked about for years & has never happened.
Teo should carve his own path & his own path is lined with young guys who he'll likely form natural rivalries with that could help define this era & Teo's career when it's all said & done.
Teo vs Manny is a cherry pick if he wins & a bad look if he loses after this epic Loma upset. Teo vs Manny is more of a lose lose situation at this point for Teo than the win win situation it'd usually be for a 23 year old fighting a legend.
kinda reminds me of Dela Hoya vs Pacquiao.
It really depends how Teo maximizes that kind of opportunity and how he looks good on winning.
Pacquiao was just averaging 350-400K in PPV sale with the likes of Morales, Marquez, Barrera, etc.
It was the Dela Hoya fight that made his PPV sales reached beyond 1 million.Comment

If it's at 135 and he wins,
he becomes:
-undisputed at 135
-lineal at a new weight
If Teo wins:
-the guy who retires Pac
-beat a reigning welterweight championComment

This fight should be at 140lbs to make lopez more stronger as he is killing himself to make 135 and this will be a 50-50 fight.
Make this fight happen.Comment

Lyle lyle lyle
There are more guys Teo can challenge before thinking of that direction.
Don’t worry, Manny will be gone from the sport long before that match would even be considered.Comment

There are bigger money fights out there for Manny in his own division.
Manny vs Spence
Manny vs Thurman II
Manny vs Mikey
If Manny is looking for someone he can fight at a 140, Josh Taylor in the UK is a more lucrative fight than Teo.
There's just no earthly reason Pacquiao would make a fight with Teo short of a huge bag offered by TR...and that is highly doubtful.
No one knows Taylor outside the uk and Manny ain’t going over there.
Mikey is a biatcch and Thurman is done.
Teo would be huge he’s the top dog right now and he’s not too big for Manny either.
Manny vs Ramirez or Teo would sell big it would revive the Manny vs Hispanic fighter rivalry.Comment

This fight also doesn't remind me at all of Oscar vs Manny. Oscar was 35. Manny was 30. They were both high level multi division champs & very proven.
Teo vs Manny is a 23 year old guy with 1 big name win vs a 41 year old legend with probably the best resume in the game right now & tons of belts.Comment

Why do you think he'd want to go down to 135 where he hasn't fought at since he was in his 20's?
Why do you think he could even make that weight still?
There is no upside to leaving 147 where Manny is still a player to fight a lesser name for less money & in a less prestigious & exciting division.
If Manny had lost to Thurman than maybe I could see the argument for going down in weight to 140, but I don't see the argument for going down to 135 ever.Comment

Pac-Teo can happen if the price is right. This can be done at 140 pounds or even better at 147 with WBA Super Title at stake for a Teo Take-over or Take-out Teo. Pacman can do $10M vs Teo and $20M vs Bud if Bob should pay Pacman before he reaches 90 years old.Comment
