    Canelo-GGG fights film study

Can someone find one round in either of those fights where Canelo clearly outlanded GGG, by say 2 or more punches?

And I'm talking about how many punches you actually counted, not compubox.

I've asked that question before, in other threads when commenting on how I scored the fight, and no one has ever pointed that out.

Obviously you can still win rounds when you get slightly outlanded (or even greatly outlanded, rarely), and many rounds in both fights had similar punch landed numbers, which means those 10 rounds or so are usually split.

    But again -

Can someone find one round in either of those fights where Canelo clearly outlanded GGG, by say 2 or more punches?

You can give your punches landed total in that round, and I'll give mine.

Whenever I've brought up that point, no one has ever mentioned a specific round.

I just find it odd that I never find a 'clear' round like that for Canelo in either fight whenever I've watched them, yet some on here swear the first fight was actually close, and that the 2nd fight was all Canelo.

In truth I don't think each fight was much different as far as scoring or even the theme of the fight. Canelo starts fast but is matched by GGG's constant scoring in the early rounds.

Then GGG starts to find his groove and pick up some clear rounds. Canelo fought better in fight 2 but if anyone gives him more than 4 rounds, I don't really see it. I could see 5 if you wanted to be generous but 6 would be crazy.

Prize fighting results from judges should be taken with a grain of salt. If you want to win on the scorecards, all you have to do is pay for it, ex. Pacquiao vs Bradley 1

Also, Canelo lost the first GGG fight and got a draw at best on the 2nd one

GGG was robbed in first and second fight. He didn't deserve draw and loss in these two fights. I'm not surprised pednelo don't wanna fight GGG again, these two fights took a lot from ginger drug cheat.

Yes, the judges' cards in those fights are sad. Even worse though are how many tout those cards as evidence that they are correct. We should all agree that judges are corrupt. But people forget that when it suits them

GGG will still be a tough matchup for Canelo, because he is so much more active than Canelo. He will still score, presumably, with that jab. Dervy gave him trouble because Dervy is also very active. Some rounds in that fight had 25-30 punches landed each. I don't know if Canelo landed 25 in any one round in either fight.

                    Poor BBB side fans.
Don’t worry, you’ll always have the years of him sparking out tomato cans to look back on when you get too low.
