First, almost everyone uses performance enhancing in boxing and all other sports, some just don’t get caught.
Second, I think it’s a good measure to go by the number of “OFFICIAL” wins against current HOF’ers or future HOF’ers AND titles won in different weight classes AND successful title defenses.
Bradley: 3 “official” wins against HOF’ers or future HOF’ers-Manny, Marquez, & Casamayor AND belts in 2 different weight classes super lightweight and welterweight, 7 successful title defenses at super lightweight.
Toney: 1 “official” win against HOF’ers or future HOF’ers-Holyfield AND belts in 3 different weight classes (middleweight, super middleweight, cruiserweight), 8 successful title defenses at middleweight, 10 successful title defenses at super middleweight.
I’m on the fence with Cotto. Sure he won’t titles in 4 different weight classes but his title reigns weren’t long with his longest being 6 at super lightweight. His first initial belts in the super lightweight and welterweight were vacant belts. And he only has 1 HOF’er on his resume Shane Mosley. And he came up short in big fights, against Manny, Canelo, Floyd.
I’m putting Bradley AND Toney in over Cotto.
