    Why is it a draw?

How come it is a draw when one card shows a winner?

    Example, tonight's Showtime card.
Two judges had it a draw, but the other scored it for Clayton.

I never got that. A draw should be all three score cards are the same or one card for opponent A, another for opponent B and a equal card.

Hey I had it 7-5 Clayton but now that the IBF is out of the way for a few more months Spence can fight Crawford

You're talking about a unanimous draw which is very rare. There are 3 kinds. 2 judges scores a draw and one a winner is a Majority Draw. 2 judges score a win for each fighter and one a draw is a Split Draw then the UD which is pretty obvious.

          Shouldn't Clayton have won?
It's like 2 judges had a tie and one broke the tie.
          That's how I see it.

majority of decision determines the result even if one card favors the other. that's also what i'm thinking... the last scorecard should be the tie breaker. but they chose majority over it.

Well it's majority wins so 2 overrule the 1. Like in a split decision. Even though it's a majority draw I guess that's why it's confusing you?

Oh I get it. Just saying I don't get it if you get my drift.

Obviously it's a majority win if say Clayton wins 2 cards and Sergiy one.
But Clayton winning one should break the tie.

the third vote is not a decider... majority rules

more judges think it was a draw, than did not think it was a draw

I agree that Clayton was "unlucky"... but when 2/3 judges think it was a draw, then the fight is scored a draw

3 judges. Hence Majority vote... What’s so complicated about 2:1
