The main draw of Lomachenko is not just his style, but that he's supposed to be that good. That, healthy, he could not just beat Lopez, but do what he did in round 11 to Lopez all fight, and 'no mas' Lopez. That he could go up to 147 and beat Spence and Crawford. That he could beat Taylor at 140 the way he beat Campbell (but better, since that was yet another underwhelming performance and the size and reach is starting to just sound like an excuse for someone who constantly underperforms now).

I don't think the size is an excuse. In retrospect, Loma looks physically better built up, and more explosive, at 135, than ever before. Slightly slower than at 126, but way, way more powerful. And when he turned it up vs Lopez, he looked the best, speed wise, I've seen him since 126. So this is the best Loma we've ever seen, athletically. It's his skill and punch output that seem to have regressed very badly. Nothing to do with size and reach, at least that's not the main reason. He just no longer uses his full arsenal. Throw 1000 punches next time, even if he has to get up off the canvas once or twice, and he will win by TKO, IMO.

But since he no longer ever performs up to his talent level, he should just retire. And certainly, if he can't beat Lopez, he needs to retire. Just my opinion. His career isn't worth watching until he beats Lopez. And then if he loses again right after that to someone else, it's not worth watching then either. Careers that collapse before they even really get started, like GGG, Kovalev, Rigondeaux, and now Loma, really aren't worth paying attention to. All build up, no payoff. A waste of time, even by the low standards of this sport.
I think he should go to 130! If he can get the winner of Berchelt vs. Valdez, and win, I think his career would be rejuvenated. And if Stevenson can beat the winner of Herring vs. Frampton, Top Rank could have another BIG fight! Loma vs. Stevenson is must see TV! If Stevenson beats him, then he should retire!

Low-Tech Loma should chill out and go on a bumfest like GGG. Come back when you are ready to beat one of these young guns at 130 and 135: Shakur, Gervonta, Haney, and Garcia. Otherwise, you finish your career without a SINGLE defining fight.
You’re not a fan of Eastern Europeans I assume. What more humbler response can a man say after a loss and you just love to see a man get kicked around on the floor.

Our role as humans is to inspire one another. Where’s this hate for certain individuals cone from?

I didn't expect anything from that arrogant pos...he was heaps arrogant and started believing his own "14-1" hype. When he lost he didn't even want to shake hands..what a fraud that bumachenko guy is. Now he screams rematch but didn't want one pre fight...he was too sure in himself. Now fu** off...sick of this bum

Retire? Are you going to pay his bills? What if he loves boxing and more than risking another loss? And should every boxer who was deemed great retire after a loss?

What about the fans like myself who enjoy Lomas style over anyone he’s fought so far including Teo which I find kind of boring.

People need to speak for themselves, not tell others what they need to do.

            Dude don’t put people down.

I don't think Loma will end up taking that fight.
Rewatched the fight it’s 6-6?maybe 7-5 we acting like loma fought Fury. There’s wan nothing special about the rounds Teo won, fight was boring until loma took over. Rematch is 50-50 easy

A rematch is winnable for both guys but it's is a risk that Lopez doesn't have to take so I don't think he will.

Loma could either go back down in weight or try to win the belts back when Lopez moves up.

These are actually good options financially if those guys are interested.

Loma is a great fighter, supported him before these GGG and Chocolotito refugees took up post annoying real boxing fans to end.

ESPN could have just let him be a big star. However just like the now failed HBO Boxing enterprise... ESPN and Top Rank have chosen a racial agenda that would lie, exaggerate and manipulate Loma’s I success to push public support, keep him safe from matchups and minimize the accomplishments of All time Great fighters. This is our P4P #1? This our franchise champion complaining about arm reach in his own weight class?

Look despite the fantasy track Loma is regular guy with tremendous skill who met just one of the better more athletic fighters at his weight class. He was afraid to take risk early and took the loss. What is there to discuss?

bad look for the sport when casuals think this guy is the best

Loma is great. top ten for sure but all that slobbering by ESPN was not necessary
