I personally feel like a fighter should fight bare minimum of 4 times a year but that's not how championship boxing works at the highest levels nowadays. I dont think a fresh Kovalev wouldve won that fight either but you start a thread asking a question and dont like the answer either way its answered.
Don’t expose yourself. The difference between today and the days of past is that stars are making money never dreamed of back in the day. The fact that you can’t acknowledge true grit from days past yet cry about “time” to prepare today is soft!

If the theory is that “Canelo fades to the Championship rounds” then perhaps Kovalev should’ve just done Loma’s blueprint to try and have Canelo close the ring while fleeing to then start performing in the second half. This way Kovalev could’ve conserved all his energy and whaled on Canelo since the Mexican would tire!

But wait a minute!! Kovalev did all that anyways and was out pointing Canelo in the second half!

The Krusher gets no respect tsk tsk

These types of vibes for the Krusher only amplify that fans will start to clown Loma as well. Tsk tsk

Im not trying to discredit Lopez because it was a great win he deserves. But the sh.t talk and lack of respect really got to Team Loma. They can say what they want about the streets of Ukraine but Loma ain't built like that. Dude does ballet and plays wall Sadouku.

I really think Lopez just straight up punked Loma before the fight. Because there's no way someone as talented as Loma needed 7rds to realize the jab to the forehead could have easily won him few rounds.

I thought it was a role reversal for canelo kov compared to Loma lopez. I thought kov was winning a few rounds early in just on activity, but canelo was actually pressing him and coming forward.. but kovalev looked scared, and fought anyway.. loma was fighting like he was shook the first half of the fight, he gave lopez power a ton of respect.

And as someone mentioned earlier lopez was not biting on feints at all through the first 7 rounds and was ready to counter and fire back.

Canelo even after a brutal 12 with Canelo. I can name more if you want.
