He isnt broke at all. Fighters are different breed and it’s not abnormal for them to get the itch. I can totally understand where Oscar is coming from.

He had a whole decade to think about a ‘comeback’ while he was alot younger but he was able to decide to return this LATE in his age

He won’t feel like a million bucks after a real fight where someone beats him down. There’s a huge difference between hitting bags and mitts and getting in the ring and competing. His timing and reaction won’t be there he’ll get destroyed he’s just going for one money grab

When you're in your late 40s or even early 50s like Tyson, you can get yourself in great physical looking shape again through hard workouts and diet and it can be a head rush (talking from experience here), and I imagine even more so for a former world class athlete with prospect of money and fame again that in their heads will come with a comeback. But "looking in great shape" and being in anywhere even near to even slightly past prime shape are two totally different things. Like you said pad work and fighting are two different worlds. Tyson and Oscar will look every bit their age in fights. Both of them looked terrible in their last fights many years ago...and they LOOKED in great shape then. These comebacks are crazy.
