Big fan of Floyd and yea he's right here but I thought this was the wrong point in time to talk about this. He should've been trying to promote tank and his fight coming up and after that he can touch on these issues. If I were Tank I'd be pissed off for real.

Yes no more WBO. That's a bull**** belt, always has been. No more super champion crap. Soon they'll get fans to thinking they need to have the ibo and nabf to be undisputed champion like they got fans thinking the WBO is required for that.Comment

How is Haney "WBC champion" and Lopez is now "WBC franchise champion"

None of these orgs are just going to quit, they have to be merged and idk who can even force them to merge.Comment

He's right. There are just too many champions and too many sanctioning organizations. Its hurting the sport along with these promoters.Comment

Look up definition of interim and history of interim belts
Having an "interim" champion when you already have a champion makes ZERO sense. Look up the definition of interim...it means "temporary, in the meantime". So with that said, the ONLY situation where it makes sense is if a champ gets injured, or suspended, jailed, etc. They can't fight, so you have the #1 and #2 contenders fight for an interim title, with the hopes that the real champ comes back and fights the interim guy. Or if he's gone too long he gets stripped and the interim champ gets elevated to reg champ. When they first did interim champs that was the only reason - b/c the real champ could not fight, yet about 10 years or so ago they just kept it. This BUGS the hell out of me to no end as having an interim champ when the regular champ is already there, and sometimes even a "super" champ is the single most absurd thing about boxing and there's a lot already absurd about it.Comment

"I ain't knocking no fighter" "ain't no such thing as a super champion"
Well, seeing as how lopez has the real WBA it's safe to say tank isn't a real "regular champion" his title was some vacant interim bullshgt
Devin Haneys WBC was basically handed to him seeing as how lomachenko actually fought for it and won it off of someone.
Both Haney and Tank were gifted belts by basically having to beat scrubs in interim fights.
It's the organizations faults but Floyd is clearly glossing over the fact that his fighter has benefited from this nonsense. Not that anyone really recognizes Tank, Romero, or Haney as the legitimate WBC & WBA champs but the fact that they can call themselves champions is sadComment
