It is terrible for boxing that these two elite fighters do not have a date or opponent set up. Is there any news on when they might fight again???

DAZN ****ing this up real bad. These guys need to be giving the sport great fights right now.

And nobody cares. GGG ruined his career before it even started. He marketed to his fans that his run to greatness would start with Canelo, not finish with Canelo! "Anyone from 154 to 175." I waited years for him to get the ****** "all 4 tinkets at 160" thing out of the way so that I could see him make some real waves in the sport beating protected establishment favorites at 168 and 175, like Ward.

That was one of the major draws for me towards GGG. In an era where the best fights weren't happening, where guys like Floyd were duckers and proud of it, here came someone who would fight anyone, and once he got them in the ring, there was, supposedly, zero chance of it becoming a May-Pac situation, because he had underrated hand speed to hit guys like Floyd, he threw almost 100 punches a round, he had the chin to walk through any punch especially the punches of duckers who tend to be feather fisted, and he had the jab, footwork, skills, range control, defense, and body punching to break anyone down.

He was basically shown to be, and marketed as, a perfect fighter early in his HBO days. If you created a boxer in a video game, and you gave him 100/100 rating in every single category, except for handspeed you gave him like 87, but footwork and head movement about 85, but everything else, power 100, chin 100, stamina 200, physical strength 100, guard 100, jab 100, body punching 100 (before the Canelo fights... lol...), cutting off the ring 300 (which for some reason no one would do when they fought Floyd or Ward, making this attribute extremely desirable at the time), distance control and ring IQ 100....

So due to him performing so good, and promising to chase down the best fights 154 to 175, I became a big fan. But it turned out, not only did the car not even reach its destination, but it broke down before it even got started? Knocking out Canelo was supposed to be the start of something, not the end, lol.

So because his career fell apart before it even got going, I think fans could care less. And I think no one expects much from Canelo fights either anymore after how easily he dealt with Kovalev. This after Floyd won 50 straight fights. It really does seem now that if you're a cash cow in boxing, you are invulnerable. Maybe Canelo will eventually lose to a Spence or Charlo or some other American star, in order to create a 2nd big star in the game, but as long as he fights guys like GGG or Bivol or Beterbiev, guys from places that Boxing doesn't seem to make as much money off of, it seems like his fights are basically predictable. You know they have no chance before it even starts. And you can pretty much guess that they will put in the worst performance of their careers, and look nothing like themselves, while the media tries to convince you that "Canelo is just this good."

Canelo is excellent, no doubt, but I think there might be something else going on there. Which is why, I don't care to see GGG or Canelo back. GGG already admitted his Olympic gold medal match in the Olympics was fixed, but apparently he said nothing about it until years later.

If GGG went along with his childhood dream, an Olympic gold medal, being stolen in a fixed fight, and said nothing, then it's not much of a stretch to think he would go along with fixed fights in the pros too. I mean, you could get paid like 20 million more to do it in the pros than you do in the Olympics, so if he went along with it in the Olympics, then...

GGG wants to fight Canelo again and Canelo does not want to fight GGG again. To have a fight both men must agree to that fight and i doubt Canelo will change his mind and agree to fight GGG a third time. What Oscar says about it means nothing. Canelo decides who he fights not De La Hoya.

He had a great career and beat Canelo twice only to get Vegas robbed twice. He had 20 successful middleweight title defenses in a row and scored 22 KO wins in a row. No boxer fighting today can even come close to matching that. He has also made more money in the ring than all but a very few boxers. Yet you write a book trashing him. You are just a fighter hater. GTFO hater.

I haven’t missed either but I think it’s time they got back in the ring.

I would like to see GGG/Andrade in March and Canelo/charlo on cinco de Mayo. With the winners fighting after.

But they both would be out so long that they will both get tuneups so it will be ggg/szemerta and canelo/ bjs.

I'm not interested in a trilogy.

                Caneloroid should fight Charlo.

                Golovkin, should retire soon.

For the record I thought GGG beat Canelo the first time. 2nd time was a draw or close Canelo win.

3rd fight Canelo beats him up.

Strangely enough, my life has been moving forward just fine without seeing either guy fight.

i disagree, once 35 year old GGG had started a titlecareer by winning a title against Lemieux, he did ok.
He fought and closely beat one number one contender, and drew with his 2nd number one contender before losing the rematch to him.

2 number one contender defences (one win plus one draw) during a title reign from 2015 to 2018 is not a bad thing.

Are you saying every other champ who fought 2 top contenders had a crap career too?
Lets look ath similar fighters with 1 or 2 defences.

                    Is Shawn Porter crap too?
                    Is Devon Alexander crap?

Is Tyson Fury crap? Hes not even made one defence!
                    Is

Please tell me what fault you find there, or shut up mate.
