He can attempt to fill the void that has resulted in dazn’s failure. Boxing was headed in an excellent direction at least in the USA with PBC and Top Rank working together. Boxing took a definite turn for the worst when Hearn and dazn overpaid boxers and then failed. If Zuffa comes along and works with pbc and top rank then more power to them. Keep Hearn in Britain with “domestic” fights

I was curious about this when it first got mentioned cuz Dana is usually a get sh^t done type mfer, but he's not done well with this Zuffa Boxing thing. I'll still be curious & watch if he does eventually do something but it seems like it's a maybe thing still more than a gonna happen thing.

Its a ****ing ****** idea and will fail miserably. Its easier to promote for the UFC because they have a monopoly on MMA and the fighter pay is much lower. In boxing hes either going to have to pay out the ass to get decent fights made only for them to usually do lower numbers than the cheaper to produce UFC cards anyway, or hes going to have UFC fighters box. If its the latter, who is it meant to be catered to? boxing fans wont really like it because they'll think the standard of boxing is poor, MMA fans wont really like it because they'd rather see MMA fighters fighting under MMA rules. Not to mention theres already those bare knuckle promotions full of old MMA washouts if you wanna see that kind of stuff anyway. Its going to be to Dana what the XFL was to Vince.

Eh? UFC has been on on Saturday nights as long as I can remember. Thats not a new thing.

I think the only way Dana White can get into boxing and be successful is if he creates his own boxing ecosystem. His company will govern it all and seek out it's own talent to create the UFC of boxing if you will. As it grows, he can try winning super star contract fighters and build up his roster. Once he has it, he can make sure he pits them against each other for 1 belt and 1 belt only.

Kind of like what we always wished for in boxing. The best fighting the best and less politics in the way or fighters being able to "duck" their way through easy competition.

thats what i was thinking too. White can create his own league with undefeated rookie pro boxers basically like a rookie championship league. The only thing that will make it viable is he can pair up boxing matches with mma ppvs and the best rookies will fight the best rookies.
