Since when? I thought Morales was The Ring champ going into the rubbermatch with Barrera.Originally posted by KatzNah, MAB is not a The Ring Champ @ 130, it is still vacant, He is rated #2 behind Pac.
Edit- Actually I do remember Morales being The Ring champ going into the rubbermatch. Barrera became The Ring champ that night. For The Ring to have that title vacant means they are no better than the other organizations. After preaching all that bull****.Last edited by mic573; 08-17-2006, 06:36 PM.Comment

Barrera should be the 130 pound ring champion.
He is undefeated at 130. He won a belt after beating Morales in a great fight. He knocked out his mandatory Mzonke Fana. He unified his title with Robbie Peden. Then successfully defended his title vs a great fighter in Rocky Juarez. Barrera is undefeated at 4-0 at lightweight and has accomplished more than Pac or Morales there.
Morales lost to Barrera, then beat Pac who lost to a Morales who was coming off of a loss. Then Pac beat Velazquez and Morales got schooled by Raheem. Then Pac once again fought a Morales who was coming off of a loss, and won. Then Pac just beat a good fighter in Larios, but i honestl thing Larios jumped up to much in weight skipping 126.
But Barrera has clearly accomplished the most at 130. He has won 2 world titles, beat a Morales who was on a winning streak since their second fight, and defended his titles.
Pac lost to Morales who was coming off a loss and bear Morales who was coming off an embarassing loss.
Morales lost 3 out of his last 4.
So i think teh fair way to put them is
1. Barrera
2. Pacquiao
3. Morales
I know Pac kicked Barrera's ass, but that wasnt at 130. We are talking about the 130 pound rankings and i believe Barrera has accomplished more at that weight.
That about sums it up.Comment

^the ring belt isnt based on accomplishment...to get the ring champ belt...#1 and #2 have to fight,,,they also make exception for for #1-#3(Larios-Vazquez)..if they feel that the #3 is just as good as #2. So it doesnt matter if you feel MAB is #1 and Pac #2...they still have to fight to get the Ring Champ recognition. EM never became ring champ cuz when he fought Chavez and Hernandez it was not a #1 and #2 fight.Comment

NO.....Morales was never a Ring Champ. Nobody has been a junior lightweight Ring Champ for a long time. Your talking about the alphabet belts....Morales had two of these when he fought Chavez and Hernandez. I believe it was the IBF and WBC belts.Originally posted by mic573Morales was The Ring champ. They considered him the champ after beating Chavez and Hernandez.
The RING belt is the hardest belt to get. It only happens when a ranked number 1 and number 2 fights each other...then the winner gets the belt. Now this will be a possibilty on the EM vs. Pac fight if Rocky wins coz it will kick Morales into number 2 from 3...UNLESS---------> The Ring decides to put Rocky at number two and also if he loses to MAB.Comment

The Ring is not about having not lost to anybody or about having ALL the alphabet belts. It's very simple yet the hardest BELT to get! The rule is that number 1 and number 2 ranked contenders must fight each other to get the belt.Comment

Barrera is not the Ring champ, there is no current Ring jr. lightweight champ.Originally posted by mic573If that happens then The Ring belt becomes a worthless joke.
Barrera is The Ring champion and if Juarez wins then he becomes The Ring champion. That has been thier policy.Comment
