Yes he is. Nomaschenko is definitely the new version of Howard Davis

If Kovalev wasn't on Ward's resume, you know damn well most people here that just so happen to defend him, would think he was overhyped just like the others. Plenty of people bash on Euro fighters but somehow rate Froch, Abraham and Kessler highly enough to put Ward on the pedestal they do, even though they would normally call these kinds of fighters Eurobums or whatever they use. I'm from California so I don't have a dog in the fight when it comes to the Euro thing but I do notice when certain guys or styles are considered good or bad depending on the person who either lost to them or won.

You also have 'journalists" writing him gay love articles, gushing over him. He's better than Floyd and Manny. The best boxer in history, ATG, P4P #1, and so on. Were the people you mentioned lauded this high?

All that collapsed in one night when he fought someone his size, who is also a good fighter, and not a bum.

        Good riddance.

Edwin Valero. His best win was DeMarco which Broner easily stopped.

Broner is also in the list.

            Khan too.

There was a momentary but huge hype for Chocolatito, which disappeared in the rungvisai fight.

And in your mind you think that makes him unbeatable?

He is clearly NOT unbeatable. He’s very beatable.

This does not mean that these fighters are not great 'It is just that their hype, has gotten way out of control'. Apparently according to Adam Booth & David Coldwell? 'Lomachenko is the most technically advanced fighter in the history of boxing'

I am not on social media, but I checked Adam Booth's twitter page 'Just to see if he had any reaction to Lopez beating Lomachenko'.

He made a tweet stating 'Lopez was just too big, strong and smart'.

People in general in today's society can be Bloon heads, and get way out of hand in the moment.

I don't count "fanboys" because none of that is objective. I'm talking about what the expectations were vs. what actually happened.

The guys I mentioned were highly regarded but they got derailed before they could even get recognized beyond diehard fans.

I'm not saying that Loma wasn't overhyped to a degree, however there were plenty of guys who came and went so fast that most couldn't even remember their names for a discussion like this.
