When the WBC announced the franchise title or whatever you wanna call it they said it cannot be won or lost in the ring. The franchise title was BS from the beginning but because it couldn't be fought for I think most people accepted it as it is what it is.
Suddenly they change the most important rule right before this fight.
It wasn't on the line for Canelo vs Kovalev.
Cmon ya'll can't be ok with this. Is Teo the best lightweight in the division? Yes. But have some integrity about the situation. If Teo had requested the designation after he beat Loma and they gave it to him I wouldn't have a problem with it because that is what they said it would be for. But doing these 11th hour changes is not good and it's underhanded. From an integrity standpoint you can't be ok with this.
