Be Honest: The Fix Was In, unless a Loma KO

This is the standard way of fixing a fight: 2 Judges and the ref.

The ref allows one fighter to break the rules and in other ways favors that one fighter. This ref allowed Lopez to repeatedly push Loma away which is illegal.

And the 2 out of 3 judges' scoring was laughable. Lopez won but it was 7-5.

Nobody else seems to be talking about the ref. But this is the classic way of fixing a fight: Unless a KO, the ref and 2 judges make it very difficult for one fighter to win.

Of course, Loma is no stranger to corrupt refs and scoring. His previous "loss" to Salido was outrageous given the many deliberate low blows and dubious scoring .

Here Lopez won, but not by much due to Loma's own inaction for half the fight. But he wasn't gonna win w.o. a KO anyway given Lederman and the other one's bias.

    Nothing changes.

8-4 imo. Regardless, it's all meaningless as Loma lost fair and square. He must have thought dancing for the first 7 rounds counted as landing punches. Was funny hearing Joe T stroke Loma off about how great his dancing was but it's like, how about throwing a punch?

He lost the first 7 rounds. After that he needed knockdowns, which he never got.

Dry those weeping eyes, fellas. It ain't the end of the world quite yet...

But this wont recoup the money you lost on Loma.

Yup, all 3 judges had it 7-0, so did I at home. And after rewatching it last night on the replay, none of those 7 rounds were close, at all. 7 very easy rounds to score for Lopez.

People want to give Loma the 2nd, watch it again, Loma landed a nice straight left in the middle of the round and then a 3 punch combo in the last 10 seconds, that is all he landed the entire round! The other 2 minutes and 55 seconds was all Lopez walking him down, taking scoring with body shots and generally stalking a hapless Loma. Not a close round, Lopez won it.

8 and 9 were both rounds that could have gone either way. I initially scored the 8th for Lopez and 9th for Loma, on send viewing I'd reverse that. 10 and 11 were clear Loma rounds, but Lopez had his moments in each one too. The 12th was a brutal beat down by Lopez, wow! This adjusted card for me would make my card 117-111 and all rounds exactly the same as the judge that scored it 117-111.

117-111 is also a fair score.

lol i swear u and the rest of the yanks are so hypocritical its hilarious. When Josh taylor clearly wins yet the scorecards are really wide, theres outrage despite the right man clearly winning.

Lomachenko loses 7-5 fight, the scorecards were clearly fixed and you have no problem, stop crying etc.

Honestly, 118-110 would be a good score card too. 8 and 9 were really close. 119-109 is a bad card IMO, but still not ridiculously bad, even the 11th round Lopez landed as many power shots as Loma did. 116-112 is a good card too.

IMO, 115-113 is just as bad as 119-109 in my opinion. To give Loma 5 rounds you had to give him a round where he was out landed 2 or 3 to 1 in power shots.

Also, no one is talking about Loma's inability to hurt Lopez when he did catch him. Especially in the 12th Lopez just walked right through his shots.
