Lopez does deserve all the credit in the world, no doubt about that.

I'm just curious why nobody thinks a rematch would be worth it.
    Many of us asked.

But NSB feels that Lopez pitched a shutout, Loma won no rounds, so there's no point in rematches.

Because it was a rigged business event to build a new star franchise off the star power of an older fading star?

There was no clause for it in the contract, there was a clear winner and the fight, while not boring, wasn't remarkably exciting either. If Loma wants his belts back he'll have to work his way into the mandatory position.

It’s a good question. Why isn’t Loma asking for a rematch?

Fight was not close. And if it had gone 1 minute longer Lopez would have gotten him out of there.

Rewatched it last night and it was as I remember, and easy fight to score. The first 7 rounds were zero doubt to Lopez. 8th and 9th were close, originally I went 8th for Lopez and 9th for Loma, but on 2nd viewing I reversed that, so my card 100% agreed with the 117-111 judge. 10 and 11 were clear Loma rounds, but far from blowout rounds. Round 12 was just a brutal beatdown, 47 power shots landing and Lopez just decided he was going to hammer him because at that point he knew Loma had nothing left that was dangerous to him.

Lopez will get Loma out of there in a rematch. TKO or KO.

Loma fans asking for that are silly because loma 💯 gets stopped next time as it stands they can still pretend he’s an elite fighter. He isn’t he’ss very good one that’s it

I thought Loma was going to wipe dude out. After seeing Teo dominate a guy who didn’t want to engage, there isn’t a need for a rematch. Loma gets stopped if he tries to engage early and often. That’s why he conserved his stamina for late.

Difference in weight between fighters looked evident enough to not even ask for a rematch.

If a rematch happens will be the same result, even Stevie Wonder saw the difference in weight on fight night!!
