    Why did David Price fail

Where Tyson Fury succeeded. Back in the day people thought Price was greater than Fury. But it didn’t go that way

Because he’s not that good and didn’t have the toughness, chin mental strength or stamina to get beyond a certain level.

Fury turned pro very young for a heavyweight and price had won an Olympic bronze medal and was a bit older, so when he turned pro people probably had bigger expectations, that’s about it really.

The truth is the British media were desperate for a successful British heavyweight so they pushed price as that guy because he got an Olympic medal and the public believed it , but obviously it turns out they ended up on completely different levels.

Also early in Fury’s career, he was barely using any of his skills and was just walking guys down and having a tear up and people might not have realised he’s actually very good boxer and was good as an amateur using good skills.

          This.

He couldn't even defeat the tough journeymen he faced.

He did had the tools for being a future champion though

He wasn’t a fighting man. People need to understand that when you are a fighting man then your chances of making it if you apply yourself is greater than anyone else.

Imagine Pricey taking that shot in the twelfth round of the first wilder fight.

He wouldn't get up. Probably ever.

Not to mention he wouldn't have had the gas tank to get to the twelth anyway

I remember on the night of the first Tony Thompson fight, there was a thread on BoxingScene about how Price was gonna beat both Klitschko brothers and become Undisputed.
