What a hugely dissapointing performance

Firstly credit to lopez he won fair & square (even though the scorecards were kinda rigged but w/e the right guy won)

But has there ever been such a terribile performance by a p4p fighter before?

After 6 rounds i stayed up until 5am to watch the p4p best.....refuse to throw any punches, is loma doing his best Rigo performance?

I refuse to believe that team lomachenkos gameplan was not throw punches for 8 rounds before engaging.

I also find it bizarre that IF loma was shook and hurt early by big punching lopez early on, & this is why he refused to engage, why did he then throw the kitchen sink later on?

Is the most likely scenerio that he thought very early on i cant trade with this guy for 12 rounds so i will just survive and then attempt to fight with a few rounds to go?

I also find this far fetched because I didnt really see Lopez land bombs early on and hurt loma?

so basically wtf was loma doing? and is this the worst performance by a p4p fighter in a big fight?

the only fight this kinda reminds me off is Spence V Garcia, but the thing is Garcia didnt attempt to win at any stage and just looked to survive the entire fight...

What was even more bizarre was Team Lomachenko's corner's seemingly extreme lack of urgency.

It seemed like his father, for virtually the entire first half of the fight, was just preaching "patience". I mean they had to know they were losing those rounds, right? I don't want to say they were completely giving the rounds away, because Lopez deserves some credit on that of course, but had Lomachenko just simply been more active he could've stole a lot of those rounds, or at the very least made them swing rds. Instead his complete and utter lack of activity made it so easy for the judges to give Lopez the rounds despite the fact that he wasn't exactly setting the world on fire.

It's like they just assumed that Lopez would fold like a cheap tent in the second half of the fight and that Loma would stop him. Thing is, Lomachenko's severe lack of any activity whatsoever kept Lopez that much fresher for the 2nd half of the fight.

Nah there’s worse performances than that like Mikey’s vs Spence where he didn’t even attempt to try to win and etc.

Loma battled back and tried to come back from the early deficit, why is Loma getting so much slack as if he did nothing the ENTIRE fight!

It’s like people are purposely focusing on the most boring rounds of the fight where the best rounds of the fight were when Loma was more active an actually scoring with flush combos an winning rounds late?

The dislike these fighters get cuz the lose is simply awful, this is partially why a lot of them don’t want to risk it not only cuz they could lose but then you got a bunch of obnoxious so called fans who shît on them when they take a lost or losses!

Personally i think Loma felt that POWER early and decided he didn't want anything do with Lopez until he got tired and weak.

That's because Lomachenko was incapable of making those into swing rounds, Lopez turned with him and met him at every stop. If he wasn't turning with him he'd have him at a solid distance. It's intimidating when your best attribute, that being your footwork, is quickly nullified. Then you add in the fact that Loachenko did not like those punches he was feeling and you can see why he wasn't throwing. I know you ain't saying Lomachenko gave them away but I don't think it requires much thinking, Lomachenko couldn't do a thing early on.

Your not gonna give rounds away to a guy who's outsmarting you and can physically hang, that's about as illogical as it gets.

Yea, exactly. in the 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th rounds when he was landing all of his punches, it wasn't as effective as it would have been had he picked it up around round 4 or 5.

Little late picking it up, but once he did he really put it on Lopez. The one punch where Lopez's head was almost looking behind him and he staggered back on the ropes I figured he was close to the end, but he was not.

In boxing we need some type of regulation when it comes to judges. I believe they all need to have competed in the sport. We can't have these type of score cards anymore where judges score punches because they're loud and "look" good.. but don't even land.
