So, the kid has 16 wins with ONE against a top P4P and you're talking HOF? FOH!

I was just thinking about this.

He's just beat the almost consensus P4P #1 or #2 fighter in the world to unify the titles at one of the historic divisions in 135.

Even if he just has an average career from here on out or decides to retire early, it seems to me that there's no way a guy who's pretty much the undisputed man at 135 after beating the guy most people thought was the best fighter on the planet could be left out.

Buddy McGirt and Arturo Gatti are in, so why not Teofimo already?
One great win doesn’t make you a HOF’er. Ask Buster Douglass.

Lloyd Honeyghan beat the P4P #1 in Donald Curry to become undisputed Welterweight champion. Isn’t in the HOF.

When it’s all said and done can Lopez become a HOF’er? Absolutely! He’s made an incredible start to his career, but it’s way too early to make that call.

I was going to literally come in here and make the Honeyghan/Curry comparison lol.

Lopez is certainly not a HOFer yet but he sure looks like the real deal.

There's Open Enrollment in the Hall. You step into the ring as a professional fighter and you are admitted (and rightly so!)

Yeah exactly, he’s definitely on the fast track but he ain’t there yet. I’m fully on the Lopez train now, I think he’s gonna be a great, great fighter.

If he goes up to 140 and beats the Taylor-Ramirez winner then heck yes no doubt he is.

If he beats Taylor/ramirez, he’s well on his way.

I don't know if you remember, but on a bold prediction thread, I said Lopez will beat Lomachenko. I want to say it was from 2019, I don't really recall. But I've been high on Lopez for a while and thought he matched up well with Lomachenko. He's young but that didn't prevent him from CHASING a match up against Lomachenko. He's in store for a hell of a career. Will take some losses in the process, but who cares.

Based on the "Boxing Scene Scenario" where a guy is a GOD when he wins and a "DOG" (see what I did there) then
yes, Lopez should be ranking at least in the top ten ALL TIME. Maybe ahead of Greb and Louis.
