The one Lomachenko could undo the damage to his career

Lopez fights Jose Ramirez for undisputed at 140 in early 2021, and wins. Lopez moves up to 140 to try to avenge loss vs Lopez, and wins. Becomes undisputed at 140, instead of 135.

Short of avenging the Lopez loss twice at 130, and then beating all the other top prospects at 135 and some top names at 140, this is the only path I see for Loma to actually fulfill his potential in boxing, at this point.

Lomachenko's life mission was to leave behind an all-time great legacy as arguably the greatest boxing technician the sport has ever seen -- or certainly to at least minimum be on the short list for that.

But I don't know if there's a road to that anymore. If there is it's going to be a very difficult one. He's already 32. He has losses to a 14 loss fighter (Salido) and now to a 23 year old that he was supposed to clearly outclass.

I think he's going to have to settle for the claim of the greatest amateur ever and a really good professional -- but not a great or transcendent one.

I think at this point we need to accept the fact that Loma is just not big enough to campaign regularly at 135.

Drop down to 130, take a come back fight, then fight The Berchelt/Valdez winner.

Maybe down the road he will face shakur stevenson.

He could also give Russell another beating since he keeps saying he wants a rematch.
