It was probably referring to what he said before the Commey fight which is past tense, or a misquote because both Lopez and Loma were in the ring together right after the Commey fight when Loma welcomed him so I doubt he would current day have asked who Lopez was because that doesnt fit the timeline over the last year, especially since they were signed to fight and training for the fight.

I doubt it was anything about who Lopez is, just other trash talking. It is like if a guy named Jim doesnt know a guy named George and says so and then he meets George and they plan an event, it is doubtful he is going to say who is George.....it was probably something in the translation. Regardless, Loma clearly has made remarks to discredit Lopez, and vice-versa, but Lopez is the one who backed up his words. Loma gets to lick his wounds of losing, and being overconfident to not have a rematch clause. Lopez moves into star status after showing his boxing IQ and perfectly executed fightplan.

He can say he's not interested in a rematch, nothing wrong with that. However, he sounds scared by saying 'it will unfold the same way'. Like what? Loma threw 30 punches in the first 7 rounds. That wont happen again.
