Loma Treated Teo Like a Dumb Puncher & Paid the Price

Loma watched only 3-minutes of Teo and thought all Teo has is a KO punch

Teo surprises Loma in the 1st half by outboxing him while applying pressure.

Loma was too patient waiting to counter

By the time Loma figured out how to fight Teo by pushing him backwards Loma was too deep in the hole to climb his way to the top for victory

I see it differently than that, it was more that Lopez lost steam and that allowed Lomachenko to apply some pressure, I never saw this "Figured out how to fight Lopez". Lopez never allowed Lomachenko to turn him and he always kept the right amount of distance, you can also tell that Lopez' speed and timing surprised Lomachenko.

This whole he was too patient or he waited too long narrative I dont get, Lopez made him tentative.

      footwork from Teo was impressive

He would turn with Loma to prevent his angles

Elbow to keep Loma from getting close was nice while it worked

Agreed. If Loma pressed while Teo while he was at full energy, he would've got hurt. He felt the heavy hands early, which made him back off.

i remember when loma fought grj he didn't look great when gary was on the front foot but loma looked great when he pushed gary back, loma need's to dictate maybe and if he can't do that he's in trouble, this isn't 126 either, loma had issues with both linares and luke at 135 so a close fight was on the cards

Lopez would hit Loma short little shots as Loma was pivoting. Or when he tried quickly moving to set, Lopez turned with him. No other fighter has been able to do that. Brilliant stuff by Lopez.

Once he could not win with footwork, it took him 6 rounds to switch gears.

When his dad said patience, it was such an amateurish advice. Nothing Loma was doing was succesful at all, any level for 6 rounds. There were ZERO signs Loma was about to take over.

While I think I agree for the most part -- it did seem as if his father and him were talking like it was a part of their game plan. Or at least that what it seemed like for a good portion of the first half of the fight anyway. There was little sense of urgency that I could see.

I think the headbutt affected Lopez off eye Loma was able to stalk him two and a half rounds after even those rounds lopez threw more and landed as much...9-3 type fight with no hat in this race

Lopez had Loma resorting to girly amateur bum rush, that's not clean boxing and his fighting 1 min of his winning rounds didn't fool my eye
