yeah i dunno about that, if he was so shook to engage why was he teeing off after round 7/8? they clearly had a very very poorly executed game plan. because when he was actually throwing lopez was like a rabbit in the headlights.

Lopez wasnt actually doing anything special, all he did was......throw punches, most of his punches were not landing flush but you still win rounds when the other guy does **** all for over half the fight.

I think Loma felt that power early and went into his shell.

He only started committing when Lopez got a bit tired and started losing the snap on his punches.

That’s nonsense, he might have expected to do good work late in the fight but nobody‘s game plan is to go 7 rounds behind after 7 lol.

He simply ran into a guy that was able to control a distance better than anybody he ever faced and the sharpness, accuracy and power to make him second-guess himself.

This is high level boxing, you don’t just get to use angles and throw punches you want without high level work coming back at you. Loma realised that early in the fight and was a bit lost.

In round 12, Lopez started ****ing him up when Loma tried to put it on him. That’s what would’ve happened early in the fight if he tried to do that, and that’s why he fought so negatively.

What fcked Loma up is the difference of power.

It looks like Teo hits twice harder than Loma. IT'S WIDE. And that's what made Loma so shy and TBH, Teo used that asset perfectly and intelligently.
It's OK to beat a much bigger puncher when the puncher can't box (see Fury vs Wilder) but Teo can box, hard fight for Loma.

So Loma had to take solid risks of losing by KO in order to beat Teo, he didn't and prefered to go to a decision. That's a choice, he just lost a 5-7 rounds close decision (despite what the **** cards say), not the end of the world.

Loma has been a slow starter and getting lit up early in most of his 135 fights, time to think abou his style or moving down to 130.
