Is Lomachenko overrated?

Lopez came in prepared. Loma had to deal with his speed, punching power and counters. Lopez was prepared for Loma, stepped with him, used his left hook, jabbed and went to the body.
Didn't let Loma use his angles especially when he goes to his right. That sneaky right uppercut that Lopez was throwing disrupted more than most think.Comment

Bullshіt Loma had 3 out of 4 belts and was fighting for the undisputed championship. Lomachenkos problem was that he was too scared to engage for the first 6 rounds and thus gave the fight away.Comment

If anything I felt like I was in a different world with what I was reading on here, never bought into the hype.Comment

Very much so. Right before this fight someone made a thread claiming he was top 20 all time and he's not even close to that. There were also people claiming he's better and more accomplished than Mayweather. That's why he's getting so much heat here and it's not his fault. It's the fact that he has a lot of idiotic fans on this forum.Comment

Loma's a very good fighter who achieved a lot in a short time as a pro but I've always thought he's overhyped by the way he's compared to Duran, Leonard, Pac, Floyd. Some were saying he's better than all of those when he really hadn't done enough to prove that. I see the same thing happening with Fury, there are plenty of people that have said he's the greatest heavyweight of all time and they truly believe it. If he loses/looks like **** against another bum, there will be the same level of confusion and delusion amongst his fans as there is with Loma's fanbase after last night.
Basically, enjoy the fights and the fighters. Time will tell if they belong amongst the ATG's but until then, don't believe the hype and make bold claims based on some flashy sheeeit you saw a fighter do in the ring or you're listening to the commentary/presenters who's job is to hype these guys up. We'd all love to be living in an era of great fighters but trying to force it by ****ting on the legends to prop up the current hype job has to stop.Comment

No, he's just too small for 135.
Whoever is advising Lomachenko should tell him to drop back down to 130. 130 can be fire next year with the featherweights like Valdez, Frampton and Gary Russell Jr. all moving up plus Davis and LSC.Comment
