    Anatoly Lomachenko's Game Plan

So the plan was to be patient? Did that also involve doing nothing for the first 7 rounds other than a brief sequence of counter shots in the 2nd round? Albeit not even enough to win the round to me.

After the first 3 rounds I thought, okay usual downloading clichés, then rounds 4,5,6. Okay I can't give Loma a single round what's happening?

Loma seemed bothered by the body shots from round 1. I swore his father was asking him if he was okay during the first rest period. He didn't want to take any risks or control the pace or show any dog like spirit to win. No elite tricks up his sleeve, just seemed like he was expecting Lopez to gas out and putting all his chips on that for a late rally. Well a late rally it was. Wayyyy toooo late.

Without any knockdowns and giving away 7 rounds how could he have thought he won the fight?

You can't implement your game plan when your opponents game plan is neutrising yours to good effect. Lopez game plan was smart and well executed.

His gamelan went out the window once he realised Teo wasn't going to put up with his BS

        It wasn’t that.

Loma tried looking for openings and whenever he tried he got countered by super quick sharp shots that hurt him so he couldn’t let go.

Loma did nothing wrong had he tried to go at Lopez more he would have left himself open and most
Likely dropped or KOed then his fans would have said the opposite that maybe he should have been more patient.

Yeah I was watching part of the post fight presser and Sr was actually coming off quite intelligent and thoughtful. I guess I was too consumed by all the bravado and **** talking and assumed he didn't know what he was doing.

It was odviously their plan coming in to go 12 and drag Teo into late rounds but once Teo started winning rounds it was always going to be hard to get back that momentum.
I think Loma was trying to find his rythm by the 4th but Teo did a great job always pushing Loma of his lines and when Loma did get on the front foot he wasn't throwing any punches into maybe the 7th and by then it was too late.
Loma has a great chin and very durable i just dont understand that Game plane at all.

I dont think that this was his farther's plan. I think actually Loma was not in good shape tonight and couldnt implement his farther's plan.

I respect that and mostly agree. I feel like I had more cogent points to make but they were drowned in whiskey.

It's like Sr. figured out a way to neutralize the biggest movement trick Loma had been always depending on and cutting that off there was little he could do

Weirdest thing I seen all year, Loma respected Teo’s power too much or Loma’s father was wary of the power too much!

Anyone saying that it was Lopez who totally kept Loma from doing his thing is forgetting he didn’t cut the ring off on Loma so clearly the movement tricks wasn’t a problem!

Loma just didn’t open his offense until he felt Lopez’s steam on his punches dropped, good in a sense but it was too many rounds giving away!

Teo is bigger, stronger, hits harder, just as athletic, smart, quicker but Loma had more in his tool bag!

I said it by round 5 , Loma needs put Lopez on the back foot an see how he reacts being pushed back and low
An behold we saw Lopez can’t fight backwards and has no inside game!

I think it would be a different fight in a rematch but sadly we’ll never know!

They were lost, they thought something will open up magically and when that didnt happen they hit the panic button and the instructions was "JUST KEEP THROWING COMBOS" aka Robert Garcia To Brandon Rios "GET INSIDE AND KEEP THROWING" so the Matrix was reduced to Brandon Rios Style and why? because the odds are if you let your hands go something gotta land and might make something happen so Lomachenko style was reduced to "just keep throwing and lets hope something land"
