Did Lopez just pipe bombed Top Rank and Arum?

Just finished seeing the post fight press conference and Lopez was very transparent and threw Top Rank under the bus talking about the “no rematch” clause and if Lopez would of lost he would only get a certain amount of $$ for his future purses. Also stated that he doesn’t have any endorsements and what gives and when will he get the respect he deserves?

I feel like Lopez wants to jump ship after beating Top Rank golden child. He can go to PBC and fight at 140 and make more $$$ there than on ESPN. It took Lopez fighting tooth and nail just to get a extra $800k.

What do you guys think about his rant?

Sounds true. ESPN wanted Lomachenko to win.

Yeah I watched that post conference and Lopez had quite a few things to get off his chest, first he blast all the other so called champs put there around his age, i.e haneywith the email belts and figthing no namers, or figthers scared to fight people in their own division etc etc then he went on to put top rank on blast and you can jsut tell the distaste he has for top rank at the moment, even told one of the top rank empoylers "why you look so sad I know you are a lomacheko fan"

Top Rank has always had fond respect for PR fighters. Berlanga is good for TR and Lopez is good for ESPN. Tessitore, Bradley, Ward were all giving Lopez props. Don’t confuse ESPN with Top Rank theory. Lopez is a Brooklynite and Arum is NYC to the bone. If he can sell out MSG with Berlanga it’s better for Top Rank. Felix Diaz vs Lopez they can make at MSG.

The last great PR prospect from PBC was Prichard Colon if I’m not mistaken.

Teo is just emotional, he is young doe. As a champion when you lose your belt then your money goes down. You don’t get paid 2m to fight Loma, lose and then expect to get paid 2m to fight a tune up/bum in your next fight. Has some of you guys not see boxing contracts before? If not just and search for some or read about some. But Loma and Lopez DIDN’T have a rematch clause in their contract, this isn’t some Eddie Hearn BS, Isn’t that what we boxing fans want? So that a boxer isn’t tied down by BS clauses?

I didn’t say he was. I said Top Rank has always pushed Puerto Rican fighters. They are probably the defacto. PR fighters are Hispanic as is Theo so they are in good hands at Top Rank and MSG gives particular circumstance. Don’t you see Berlanga being groomed for Teo’s undercards? PBC is not good for Lopez nor Berlanga

I honestly think if he stays at Top Rank, Lopez and Berlanga can fight at the garden And sell it out if fans are able to come to the arenas. I just noticed he was really pissed at the Top Rank PR staffer haha

About Puerto Rican fighters, I don’t think there hasn’t been a good fighter since Cotto. I’m boricua but in boxing i’m not one of these nationalists boxing fans that just think we have the best fighters since slice bread and the rest of the world class fighters stink. Lately a lot of these Puerto Rican prospects got good KO records but their opposition is really soft and when they step up they lose.

Do you think now Lopez makes more than $2 million now after beatinf Lomochenko?

Oh definitely, that’s the part that he didn’t mention. His next pay even against a bum would be the minimum from what he earned against Loma, he might even earn more in his next fight against a bum.

This is why most boxer want to be world champions soooo quickly, because what they get paid as an official world champion is soo much more than when they don’t carry a belt.... Unless they are already a PPV star who gets a cut from PPV sales.
