Can We Now Stop Saying Canelo at 23 was TOO young for Floyd?

Teo at 23 years old just beat a two time Olympic gold medalist and 3 division champion. Vasyl is 32, still 4 years younger than Floyd was when he schooled Canelo.

Just give these guys the credit they are due win or lose.

Alvarez is on the shallow end of great. His fights are often close and controversial

Floyd is on another level. He capable of beating other great fighters easily

Lomachenko is a great fighter but he is no Mayweather Jr.

Another thing is that even though Mayweather Jr. and Canelo were similar heights the same way Lomachenko and Lopez are similar heights. The frame difference between Lopez and Lomachenko was a lot more than Mayweather Jr. and Canelo (23). Mayweather had enough size to keep Canelo honest with his jab.

Sidenote as well. Not dissing Teofimo in no way. I have always thought he was biggest threat to Lomachenko, I just don't see the comparison to the Mayweather-Canelo fight

              That's why he avoiding Andrade.

Also s/o to Teddy Atlas cause he's the only one I seen with a platform not re-writing history. He like I been saying said: ppl only said that AFTER he lost. Nobody said he was "too young" before the fight, at least not loud enough to the point where it was this regurgitated narrative it is now.

The best comparison for this fight and one of Floyd's honestly is his fight with Conor. No weight drain, a prime opponent. First few rounds you are very cautious with what you're dealing with. Difference is it only took Floyd 3-4 rounds to find something, it took Loma 6-7. And Floyd then KOed Conor and Loma couldn't. Floyd was 40 in his fight though and McGregor isn't even a real boxer, those have to be mentioned too.

Canelo fought a sh.it gameplan vs Floyd as was drained a bit. Those details matter

Floyd vs Conor is a terrible comparison. Canelo was 23 years old just like Lopez but only Canelo had far more professional experience than Lopez. The Canelo comparison applies.

And the weight is just another excuse because Canelo earned his 154 pound title at a catchweight of 150 pounds against Matthew Hatton. So if Canelo wasn't drained at 150 you can't tell me he was drained at 152.
