why should he??? you do realize haney is a nobody who has never fought anyone right? the only reason he should fight him is for money. dazn has money yet they have been reluctant to make one of their patented "overpayments" to get opponents for their fighters. that should tell you how they want to pursue haney's development. they want to build a star not crush one. all this calling out is nice press for the young man but we know whats going on there. using someone else's name to promote yourself which is a tried and true tradition. if more mouth running ensues, more bum fighting ensues, and no offers take place what will you say? oh loma ducked him before so haney doenst have to fight him?

I'm not ok with Lomachenko's promoter asking for Franchise Champion status to make the mandatory go away, though.

But you seem like the type that is intent on excusing anything Lomachenko does. So yes, there probably isn't any point in trying to have a logical conversation with you.

I said I had no problem with Lomachenko making Haney wait for his mandatory shot while he faces Teofimo.

You , on the other hand, excuse him for weaseling out of having to do that mandatory at all.

I think Loma will not fight any of these other guys. If he beats Lopez, next up would be Davis. Loma won't fight Davis coming from this fight and will get an easy touch tune up while Davis fights Garcia. I don't see a Haney fight. The question is, will Loma win tonight?

I think it comes down as you said in the past different promoters getting in the way of things. And then agreeing on the money. I can dream of a marathon of lightweight fights with the ones we know about and maybe a couple guys coming up who burst on the scene. I have no idea who will rule in 2-4 years but I don't think it will be Loma then. My guess is Davis will be the king of the division in a couple years based on everything I have seen with Loma fading out of boxing where their paths dont meet and Davis being superior to Garcia and Haney from my take and rising above them.
