Not even close. At his best he was a very good fighter however. If he would've gotten the nod in the first Ward fight he would've been P4P #1.

Is this a joke? Not a chance. No one from the last decade sniffs the top ten.

In my opinion he is not one of the 10 best light heavyweights in history and neither is Ward or Canelo. In his prime he was one of the better light heavyweight champions in history but not one of the ten best light heavyweights in history.

Won the Belt 3 times, should have gotten the nod vs Ward 1. That probably puts him at p4p 1 during that stretch. I think he is close to top 10 LHW all time. I keep saying this, but he has had a much better career than GGG overall. He is a solid B+/A- type of a guy in his prime as he showed vs Ward the first time.

He is certainly better than anyone minus Jones and Ward in the last 20 years. You have Jones and Ward, followed by Tarver, and Hopkins? I think Kova is better than those two and beats Hopkins at LHW al the time, bad match-up for Hopkins because of Kova's speed.

Kovalev doesn't even crack the top 20.
