    Too premature.

Wait until it's over - then let's hear what Lopez says on the post-fight interview. That's assuming he doesn't go running out of the arena shades of Broner/Golovkin, crying in the back.

It seems so but he's a world champion, period. And if the alternative was him going to 140 and we missing the fight, then I want this.

I look at it this way, if he comes to fight and makes a good account of himself, one way or another, then his trash talking wasn't in vein. He either sets himself up for a huge victory or a huge letdown. If he loses, then anyone that bet on him tried to cash a check his butt couldn't write. And losing means a lot of embarrassment. But winning means he rides very high.

This isn't even trash talk man.. it's just him selling the fight.

We need the fights between the best guys on every division. Lopez actively looked forward and made preassure to fight Lomachenko. Even if he's still a bit green, even if Loma is better than him, he doesn't care. He wants to fight him. Even without public and without it being on PPV, in the middle of the pandemic.

What's the problem with that? it's great man. Just great.
Stop hating and enjoy the fight between two great aggressive fighters that will come to fight and not to clinch.

There's a minority that will hate no matter what.

All I can say to that is... well said. Lomachenko can only fight 1 guy at a time. Everybody will have their own ideal opponent and timeline. Can't please everybody, obviously.
Lopez can be dangerous, He has a belt. He's talking trash. What's not to like ?
            People just like to talk...

Wilder was a world champion, too. We saw what happened.

I'm just saying, man. Being a champion doesn't mean what it used to mean, so we need to stop using that as an excuse.

All we can go on is resume - and by resume, I said it before. I like true 50/50 fights. I would have rather seen Lopez go up against Ryan Garcia. THAT is a 50/50 fight. This? No.

I agree with you. Teo has only just got his belt in a good win and now he's facing the top dog in the division. It's brave no doubt about it!

Contrast that to other guys who have been around world level for years and years and have no intention of fighting like this, in fact all they want to do is wait for the tough guys to fall away!

When it all boils down this is legit a 50/50 fight. We rarely or never really get these. Let’s just enjoy this one. I find it so hard to pick but I’m picking Teo tko9.

I agree, I love his attitude at gunning for the absolute best at such a young age. We need more of this. Devin Haney and Ryan Garica would never dare take a fight against Lomachenko unless he looked washed up. Hell, not even Tank who is established and experienced wanted any.

Lopez taking this fight is something you only see in the UFC.

Yeah we saw what happened with Wilder. He lost. Guess what, most of the time someone losses and someone wins... Duh.
