He's cashing out, and his promoters are cashing out.

He already knows he can't make 135lbs anymore and he'll move up to 140.

Mr."No More Tall Fighters" Lopez will move up to 140lb in which he won't have any clear advantages over any fighter.

There are some taller, bigger fighters in that weight class.

He knows himself he'll lose in that division. His promoter knows it.

It's time to cash out and move up for Mr No More Tall Fighters.

Its not even hating but an accurate observation.

But hey, maybe Ramirez or Taylor move up to 147 and he can fight for a vacant title.

Teo is being cashed out like PBC is going out of business for the last half a decade like some say.

If Teo gets KO'd in 2 TR won't be dropping him like they would if he was a legit cash out guy this weekend.

This is basically a no lose situation for Teo is more how I see it. If he loses he was supposed to. If he wins he's going to be a p4p discussed guy on Sunday.

I wouldn’t call it being cashed out but this is the kind of thing TR does.

Lopez can’t make 135 anymore, Loma is probably not going to 140or 147 unless he can make $20 mil.

This fight is win win for TR. if Loma wins as expected, he gets a big win over a top LW and clears the way for the Haney and Tank fights. Lose and he still had those fights for belts vacated by Lopez when he goes up.

Lopez wins he’s the next star in the sport. He goes to 140 with a huge rep. Lose and he lost to one of the best I in the world and he goes back and builds himself back.

This is smart business by TR. It’s how they’ve stayed at the top of the game for almost 50 years.

The only downside is of Lopez gets whitewashed like Canelo did to Floyd or he gets beat down like Chavez did Meldrick Taylor..

More like Top Rank cashing out Loma. The man wouldn’t be able to sell PPVs and he can’t sell out arenas. I think Arum is hoping that Teofimo wins because he would actually have a star.

I don’t think López is being cashed out at all. He’s doing what Canelo did, taking on a big challenge very young. If López wins he’s an instant star.

If he loses then it’ll be a learning experience. He’ll still be young enough to rebound.

Depends how he loses IMO. If he quits it'll be hard to regain that. Also if he loses and whines and cries about politics like he did in the Ams, it'll be a bad look.

Lotsa things look bad. Cashing out & dropping a guy is a whole other thing.

Top Rank would be idiots to drop Teo however he loses. And they won't cuz they aren't idiots.

                    This isn't a cash out.

Silly ass thread. Or D- troll thread.
