Whyte "I had Povetkin finished, let him off the hook it won't happen again"

    Source Talksport Radio just now

Whyte said he had Povetkin beat in the 3rd round but eased off the gas, he says this time he will hurt Povetkin early and finish him when he does.

Stop talking Dillian, just STFU and get on with the job.

He is confusing delusion with inner strength.

Its not like this was a mismatch in the first place, I dont know why some people thought it was. A 41 year old Povetkin is still a handful for a guy at Whytes level. It was not really an upset and it may well happen again.

Seems to be in a bit of denial. Keeps saying he was in total control and beats him 9 times out of 10.

Povetkin was doing good work throughout the fight and always getting into the range where he likes to be, even if he did get dropped twice.

Hopefully Whyte’s training team are taking note of these things and working on them, because Whyte is talking like it was a one sided beating and got caught with a lucky shot.

Dillian gonna come in dancing, firing jabs, and showboating like he's Tyson Fury, switch to southpaw, and then get cracked with an overhand right this time.

That is not what I saw. He had him hurt and did not let off the gas. On the contrary he was going full out to try to finish him and ran into a well timed and placed bomb he never saw. It could happen to him again. That was a tricky unexpected punch Poevtkin got him with. He is such a pro that he is still dangerous even when he is hurt.
