If that’s how his social circle would support him (which I’m doubtful) then it’s probably for the best that he’d carve out his own support system. Life is too short to quarrel about meaningless things pertaining to ego.

That being said you are not in the majority.

If Lopez was truly special he should let his talents in the ring do the talking and less of it outside the ring.

I dont get where you think hes not on Adrian Broners level when it comes to arrogance. He has it written all over him. If you haven't seen any of his interviews or promos feel free to take a look and disagree.
Most of the hate he gets is bc of his old man's ignorant self.Yea, the young man is arrogant. Doesn't take much to see that. Alot of great fighters were arrogant too. He doesn't get personal on anybody. Maybe a bit with Loma bc of (what it looks like to me)his inferiority complex towards him bc of how high people hold Loma in their regards & Loma's constant dismissal of him everytime he is brought up. And even so, he still hasn't been personally disrespectful towards him. Like him or not, if you've watched him fight, the young man is highly-gifted fighter who is very brash and proud. He shouldn't hafta stop talking just bc it rubs people like you the wrong way. That's who he is. Only thing is, he gotta eat his words if he doesn't back em up. Simple as that.

I have watched the man and thats exactly why I think he will lose and lose in convincing fashion.

Notice how no one here actually talks about Lopez and his boxing skills? It's because most of the people rooting for him aren't rooting for him to win but Lomachenko to lose.

Maybe in a few years Lopez could be a legit. Maybe if he dumps his dad and gets a coach who wants the best for him and not for himself (like his dad) he could be better. But right now? I don't think so.

A boxer.... who talks trash??? REALLY? Dang, who would ever have heard of such craziness before Lopez, What a glass ceiling buster. What a trendsetter. What a unique take on boxing.

I am glad there are not just cookie cutter athletes in boxing. Leave peoples family out of it, and what exactly is new here? I am fine with him calling Lomachenko overrated and saying he is going to KO him early and such because he took the fight. You go right ahead. I think Loma is going to own you, but you have the chance to back it up and did not duck it. Enjoy.

Talking trash is free. Backing it up costs. Lopez is at least willing to pay up.

Nobody talks about his skills bc they talk with their feelings. Same with Loma. I don't talk with my feelings. I just call it like I see it. Both these guys are high-quality pugilists. One guy is an elite fighter and the other guy is a fighter with elite skills. That's what makes this matchup so highly-anticipated. If Lopez was some other guy, this fight wouldn't have the type of steam this fight has. People know what they see, they just incorporate their personal feelings against them for one petty reason or another to discredit them. That's straight hating in my book.
