    I would not be shocked if he (Wilder) now comes out and being injured, and the WBC makes him mandatory emeritus or some shit like that. Then we would have another episode of Whyte (If he wins in November against Povetkin) talking about waiting 1000 years for his mandatory.

      Wilder no longer has to defend a belt. Having the freedom to choose his opponents could lead to some interesting fights.

      Will he avenge his amateur loss to Romanov? Call out the big-mouth Whyte for a grudge match? The possibilities are endless.

        Don’t bet on that logic . Giving Wilder a choice to pick interesting fights is far from Finkle plans , you’re talking about a guy who once picked Warzwyk as a title defense but the fight fell through . If he wasn’t trying to get the better fights as a champion he won’t do it as a non title holder .

              Whyte/Wilder is one of the few fights i'd actually care about seeing Whyte in. I think Wilder puts him on the highlight reel but if Whyte comes to **** it could be interesting while it lasts.

              Wilder/Ruiz would be good too. I'd be interested to see how Ruizs seemingly good chin would hold up against Wilders power compared to Joshuas.

                Wilder might as well retire.
                He wasn’t a big draw to begin with and won’t be in the HW title picture again any time soon.
                Has he made up the $120 million he turned down yet?

                  He's finished Finkel will use him as a gatekeeper, he broke the cardinal rule on PBC which is money fights are more important than rebuild. You also have to look at Danny Garcia, and other PBC guys that lost their first they don't get rebuilt they either right the wrong or are fed to next dogs up and coming. After that they're a corpse left on the side of the road for birds to feast on.
