Comments Thread For: Teofimo Lopez: I'm Not Only A Power Puncher; I'm Also Smart, A Great Boxer

Teofimo Lopez doesn't consider a knockout his only path to victory over Vasiliy Lomachenko. Ukraine's Lomachenko is widely viewed as the superior boxer as their 12-round, 135-pound title unification fight approaches. Lopez (15-0, 12 KOs) still is confident he has the boxing ability to beat the highly skilled southpaw on points if he cannot become the first fighter to knock out Lomachenko (14-1, 10 KOs) on October 17 in Las Vegas.

Respect to these guys for taking this and respect to the 'FITE' platform for covering this best matchup of the year .Lomo may have to rise from the canvas to win this one but a Lopez win wouldn't be a massive shock either!
It's so sad the ppv's in the UK other than this are so shyte. But respect to Warren and BT sports for their free to view Joyce v DDD showdown.Sky have completely lost the plot and it's time for them to involve other promoters with other fighters.

"Smart Great Boxer" that got befuddled by the first tall fighter he came across.

I think Lopez wins this. There wasn't a blade of grass between Loma and Linares in their fight before the KO late on, I'm sure the judges had it split. I think Lopez causes Loma a lot of problems and knocks him out. I have £300 on it at 3-1, that's win by any method.

Lomo got touched by Linares wasn't even a hard punch and was dropped. Lomo was also stung by Luke. Lopez going to truck him for real.

People trying to use Loma vs. Linares as a comparison are a bit daft; Linares is a highly experienced and proven elite level fighter, López isn't, by a long shot. The comparison to Loma vs. Campbell is equally as daft; on top of being a highly skilled boxer with that amateur pedigree, Campbell had a half foot reach advantage.

López is good, don't get me wrong. But he hasn't exactly showed anything special in regards to boxing skill. He's shown good accuracy and power...against people that haven't got anywhere near the skill that Loma has. I see Loma outboxing little Teo for the majority of the fight to take a clear UD.
