Navarrete is big and strong and awkward but he's got some glaring weaknesses.

Agree with Ward, Navaratte definitely stepped off the gas in some of those rounds almost as if he was bored with Villa or was on autopilot!

Villa did well to stabilize himself and stay in the fight, boxed relatively well overall. Early on looked small and shaky, but got his feet under him after the 2nd knockdown. Overmatched though and Navarette looked like he was just playing him with him

By Keith Idec - Emanuel Navarrete's power separated him from Ruben Villa on Friday night. Villa knew he had to be "perfect" to upset Navarrete in their featherweight title fight, but he had difficulty dealing with the awkward Mexican's aggression and strength early in a main event ESPN aired from MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas. Navarrete knocked down Villa twice...

Villa definitely won some rounds tonight & he went the full 12 when no one expected him too. He can definitely come back from this defeat

Funny how Ward kinda hinted that some guys rather move up then deal with a guy like navarrete yet his fighter Shakur was the one who moved up lol

Ward didn’t think that one through much

Cards were closer than I expected but the commentary wasn't accurate at times either.
