Should Ortiz be headlining a card at over 41? I like Ortiz, and he was one of the few who really tested Wilder before Fury.

Realistically, is he going to be in the mix for HW contention in the next year? Fury will likely fight a bum before taking on either Wilder again, whilst AJ's calendar is full with a mandatory against Pulev, so all the opportunities for HW glory are at least a year away and that may only be for the tacky secondary diamonds and pearls belts.

Ortiz should be following the example of Parker and Dubois - who are taking on big fights despite no belts being at stake. What that means is any HW who wants to stand above the pack of contenders as the man to take on the man needs to make a serious statement.

I would have preferred Ortiz put it on the line against Takam, Bakole, Ruiz Jr, Hunter, Ajagba, Hunter, or Hrgovic. He simply doesn't have the time left to muck around with no name fights.
