It's easy to have a fast single punch in comparison to throwing lightning fast combos.

You can look at Garcia's fight agains Velez and you can see all about his speed.

He has to push his speed out instead it coming out naturally.

I even say that Khan is faster than him who actually throws in combos for most of a fight. He is the naturally faster fighter.

Now I really feel tempted to put Garcia at nr 1..but it's possible that I suffer from recency bias.

What do you guys say? Does he have a place in the nr 1 discussion?
No. I don't think any of your choices have the fastest hands except Jones. Mayweather has fast hands but others have faster hands. Accuracy and timing sets Mayweather apart not sheer hand speed. Khan's hands are pretty fast but not that fast. He throws lots of arm punches that usually miss giving the illusion that his hands are faster that they really are.Fast hands? Try Pacquiao, Loma, Russell Jr and many other proven champions before you give the hand speed championship to prospect Garcia. He has fast hands but not the fastest.

I still think Mr. Gary Russell Jr has faster hands, not only that but Gary will flash that Hand Speed during a actually boxing match and not just hitting pads or bags!

Gary is the only one who actually does those Pad Work Combos DURING HIS FIGHTS:

Thing about RJJ was he was so fast at full power, other fighters like SRL and DLH, they had two speeds, they could throw fast furries at light power but Roy had such speed in both combination or in full power shots

RJJ and SRR have that same powerful speed?

Yeah mayweather is among the fastest of his generation but others are faster. Judah was faster and Pac was even. Mayweather was different in that guys with that athleticism usually have more bad habits, fight less conventional, use a RJJ, Hamed or Ali style or something like that. When you get a guy with unusual reach for his height/weight, speed and athleticism that only a handful of guys can match, solid jaw and add training consistency and a solid tight guard its no wonder he went undefeated and is ranked in top 10 of all time.
