I think he is in the top 10 for boxing skill.
In terms of pure boxing skill where does Fury rank

I dont know about ATG but Fury imo is #1 at HW because hes beat the best competition.
And your premise is just ridiculous. He has to fight everyone in the top 30 to be accepted as the best?
No one else is doing that so why must Fury do that? And please do list all the guys who has fought better competition than Fury. The list will be extremely short or non existent.
Wilder despite having no real names other than Luis Ortiz was universally either 1 or 2 at HW.
You can not dispute that.
Throw some names. Chisora? Whyte? Povetkin? Ortiz? Which one of these dudes do you see better than Fury and why?
Fury beat Wladimir clean. He also beat Wilder clean as well.
What HW has better names than those on their resume? AJ?
And even if AJ is your answer people pick Fury because we understand that styles matter.
I wanna see that long list of names from the past 5 years bud otherwise you're just blowing smoke out of you ass.Comment

So far so good. But he has to make a string of defences or y'know beat a decent list of names preferably in good style before we can really ask this question. You could argue that he is now peaking, especially with the successful addition of some Kronk moves.
He's the type of fighter that you can't keep your eyes off when he's fighting. There is just so much going on with the Big Guy.Comment

When he officially retires from the sport and time passes we will be able to better gauge.
Just going off his stature, current skillset, and reflexes. He is a problem for anyone in history.
You can't compare his style to someone else's style and say that fighter is more skilled because they can do this. Fighters come in different shapes and sizes so of course Fury's style is going to look drastically different from heavyweights that are 4 to 5 inches shorter.
I will say that he is arguably the most talented giant heavyweight we have seen. Meaning a heavyweight over 6'6". The only other two giants that have had noticeable boxing skill for being so huge have been the Klistchko's in recent time.
Also getting dropped hard by Wilder is not a negative mark. Wilder might not weigh much but he is a huge guy stature wise and obviously packs a quick, strong right hand. Technically poor but vicious puncherComment

When he faced a 100% fit Fury, we all know what happened.
Nobody beats Fury at the top of his game, past or present.Comment

Not all that high. Lets be real, it's his size that has given him the edge in his fights. He has "good" boxing skills, especially for a big guy. But if he were 6'2" 230 lbs with the same skill-set, we would have never heard of him. He'd be just another contender.Comment

He’s B level at best. A lot of you guys are just looking at the physical aspect of boxing. Fury doesn’t beat a Prime Muhammad Ali (Cassius Clay). Fury has got heart, but Klitchko had no dynamics of Ali. Prime Ali could also rack up points from the judges by doing slick defense too, dodging and rolling Fury’s sequences. You guys gotta realize that defense is a mind game, and Prime Ali was just more athletic and faster. He would wear down Fury.
Sorry guys, but Klitchko and Wilder are D level rope a dope fighters. To beat a man at his game you gotta play his game. Not no robotic Eastern Euro thinking like Wlad or 1 Dimensional Wilder ffs... lol
I mean seriously.. you guys have Fury so high because of an old Wlad and Wilder. That’s rather sad from the realistic point of view when there’s tape online of Ali.. lol
And Fury has proven mentally, he is very strong.
AJ has proven the opposite.Comment

How do we explain Manny Pacquiao winning titles in 8 weight classes?
How do we explain Roy Jones Jr going from 154 to Heavyweight to win a world title?
The exception is not the rule.
Regardless, in all of my posts in this discussion, I clearly state height, size in relation to skills. I mention that because skills will always matter. You can be a big for nothing boxer, towering over everyone, bigger than everyone, and then you’re subpar. I have been stressing Tyson Fury’s talents, quickness, and tactics in relation to his size in order to avoid the “but look at this small fighter beating this big fighter” arguments. Having all of those attributes for his size is what makes him a special fighter, i’ve said that since Page 1, first post of mine. Not just being big and tall. Yes Mike Tyson beat a bunch of bigger and taller HW’s but let’s not ignore his losses vs bigger and taller men like Buster Douglas.Comment

He doesn't have to fight everyone in the top 30, JUST A FEW OF THEM AT LEAST. Or at least a couple guys in the top 10 right? Imagine a college football team that plays the worst competition possible, then they beat a top 2 or 3 team, then everybody puts them at #1? That would be ridiculous right? But that's what you idiots have done with Nandrolone Fury. Why was Nandrolone Fury so against fighting Whyte? Shouldn't a real champion want to beat all comers? And I can name plenty of names in the top ten that would give Nandrolone Fury a good fight or beat him. The point is, they have to fight to prove it. He hasn't fought them and he hasn't proved it. Twerking Wilder has made a career out of fighting bums, avoiding the best and still getting credit . Now Nandrolone Fury is doing the exact same thing except worse. He has been fighting guys that were ranked in the 100's when they fought. by contrast, AJ has either fought, is about to fight, or offered a fight to 9 guys in the current top 12. 2 out of the top 30 for Nandrolone Fury and 9 of the top 12 for AJ. I hope that you are not too ****** that you don't see the difference
Who has Chisora fought?
Whyte?
Povetkin?
Ortiz?
Input any name here.
Their resumes are just as lack luster as Fury but Fury seems to be the only guy you hold your standard to.
I can agree that AJ has definitely fought the stiffest competition but he has loss just recently and has shown his vulnerability.
Fury? Not so much. Sure, sometimes he looks lackluster against nobodies but has always risen to the occasion when it mattered most.
Plus styles makes fights. This is the major factor why people pick Fury over AJ.Comment

No way is Fury faster. Lol. Now you’re just trolling bruh. Athleticism alone, Ali was more flexible, elusive, pocket range slipper. How do you not know this!? Fury is a poor man’s version of Ali. When I say Fury is an ogre I’m being literal. If Ali was a mix of the Hunchback from Notre Dame and Frankenstein he’d be Fury. Let’s not disrespect Ali’s physique and athleticismComment
