I don't even get this silly thread.
Why would you compete with the world's 12th most marketable athlete?

Ryan Garcia Named World's 12th Most Marketable Athlete; Joshua No. 31, Fury No. 32

Spence and Swift are not even on that list.

I’ll have no problem finding the Spence fight for free and watch Garcia/Campbell with my year DAZN sub.

Honestly don’t care so much about the Spence fight. Certainly I don’t care more than about $10 dollars worth. And Spence hasn’t built his name enough that if I tried to get a party built around it, anyone would be interested.
Garcia/Campbell is a really interesting fight and I’ll happily watch it instead.

for sure, spence vs danny garcia is HUGE. Certainly a bigger fight than Ryan Garcia vs Luke Campbell...

              but
Ryan Garcia is on a subscription service, meaning 'his fans' are already on dazn. what it will do however is probably stop people additionally joining dazn on the night because they'll prefer the spence fight instead.
however that number is relatively small.

dazn is a streaming service which if anything means the people subbed to it, don't use cable all that much. You know what that means?
              two entirely different markets.

still, i have to laugh at all this 'deadzone' nonsense because back when al haymon had envisaged future PPV MONSTER FIGHTS, he would have been thinking of the best Welterweight fights post-floyd mayweather. He would have been looking at the likes of Danny Garcia, Errol Spence jr...and thinking 'those will be massive ppv's'
and in the current market they'll be lucky to even break 400k buys. time was, a fight on this level would do 1.5m buys.

the last argument that Fury-Wilder 3 is not happening in December was Haymon pushing Spence fight on to 5th of December, you cant charge people another 80 bucks for Fury-Wilder3 right after Spence's PPV fight
