He’s definitely one of the top attractions of boxing. And he is in his prime.

This is a perfect example of the crappy management which happens constantly in boxing. Man I get tired of it.

I just love to go back and watch older fights on YouTube lol

I bet those sanction fees are high as hell lol. Honestly I saw this coming years ago. I think Alvarez is great, and more of a warrior than he gets credit for,, but like the great Andre Ward said, "the most popular fighters are never the best fighter".. The deal was risky for DAZN To begin with because in order to fulfill such a big contract he needs to stay winning, But if you want to use him to drive subscriptions up, He has to fight dangerous people he can lose against. Since hes never actually defined himself as the best in whatever weight class he fights in, somebody has to appreciate the marketing power of Oscar/GBP. Alvarez might be a boss in his own right, but he has to suck it up and fight who the check-book tells him to fight, or no check lol.

Kind of shows how far boxing has fallen in popularity. Boxing's current greatest attraction has been losing dazn money, so much so that they want to renegotiate his deal for significantly less money. Also, the memberships he generated for his last fight were looking so bad, that he and his opponent were forced to remain gloved up on sofas in the locker room for 90 min waiting for a ufc fight to finish that featured 2 guys with a combined 25 losses, in hopes that they could get more members to subscribe once that event was over. If Canelo vs Yidilgrim does somehow get made like the wbc wants, it'll be another wake up call for how little fans care when those numbers tank horribly.

That’s right and canelo is the biggest attraction in the sport, to say otherwise is Just haterism...

This is very factual, regardless, most of canelo fans and Mexican boxing fans in general just want to see the man fight... its Not only the fight but also about the the family gathering, the food, the music, the partying togethe. When One or Mexico’s best has a fight, it’s an event.

canelo is a boring fighter. only exciting fight he's been in was with GGG and that's because GGG made it exciting.

he slowly plods and throws little because his stamina is junk.
