A fighter should never have to say they're gonna make weight. It should be a given. That's a real professional. I never heard Marvin Hagler say he was gonna make weight. He just did, everytime. Usually with a pound to spare

Of course they’re not. Just pointing out seems like they’d get more views the week before or after. A lot of people celebrate Halloween whether it’s for their kids or themselves. Here’s what we know or should expect.

Right now PBC is under a lot of pressure to deliver results for its contracted networks. Sure there’s flexibility because of the pandemic, but TMT must maintain the belt for Davis. Davis is value for Haymon and Floyd for business.

So, I think Davis this time around for the last 2+ months has been super disciplined and under pressure from handlers and executives above. It means he had to forfeit all his usual cravings for fast food as he always shows during livestreams. His gut proves, like Broner, that they eat very irresponsibly at the star level, and that’s their portions.

As long as Davis has been denied transfats from fast food places then the 5lbs for 130lbs shouldn’t be a problem, and I think Floyd has made it a priority to make it so with coercion tactics should Davis fail.

Will he drain for 130? Yes, and he should be fine. All other fights with Davis - the TMT team - weren’t being responsible since they know his habits. Always eating Popeyes, fries, sugar drinks, burgers. That’s the reason why Davis’ physique would look like a post Duran just partying or careless.

What I noticed from this article, which I believe earlier months were mentioned, were the fees should Davis miss weight. I remember Boxingscene reporting that Cruz said huge fees would be set for Davis. That wasn’t said in this article. And therefore, what are the fees? Since when are fee amounts per lb not disclosed for major fight articles? This what’s suspect under PBC.

Santa Cruz sounds like a nice guy but a very gullible one. I wouldn’t be surprised if he agreed with split adjustments to acknowledge for Davis to take a weight cutting PED just to salvage the fight “just in case” while Cruz agrees since he’s persuaded that the PPV is important or that the show might be cancelled. That’s just the way of the sport, and TMT are A side. Cruz has no pull and just a puppet to Haymon unfortunately.
