Completely agree mate great post...
Sky’s subscription’s are mainly driven by football. Boxing is of little to no importance to them and never has been. Completely agree about Boxnation too was a great platform for boxing fans and consistently televised good international content.
Warren actually spent £10 million of his own money to launch Boxnation after Sky looked to remove boxing from their product portfolio after the disastrous Haye-Harrison (co-promoted by Hearn
) and Klitschko-Haye PPV’s.
After Frank launched Boxnation, Sky suddenly had a competitor in the market and reinvested in boxing. Hatton was caught snorting coke and Maloney was in the process of becoming a transgender woman so that only left them with Matchroom who were gifted the Sky contract. This allowed them to sign guys like Froch, Brook, Groves, DeGale, Bellew, Cleverly all of which had previously been with either Warren or Hennessy, and they have been damaging boxing in this country ever since.
