Afterwards, the same posters either go into hiding or make excuses. Call the loser a hype job, too hold, too small, or some other lame excuse. I remember all the haters on here talking big shyt about how Rigo was going to school him. How Linares and Walters were going to KO his ass. Lopez is a good, strong fighter. He hasn't been tested yet IMO. Commey was a good win, but prior to that, no one stands out on his pro or amateur resume.
I was one of those haters I’m not ashamed to admit but once he dispatched of my boy Rigondeaux I had no choice but to become a believer

I disagree that a counterpuncher/boxer who focuses on timing is bad for a volume puncher. Quite the opposite imo. A good counterpuncher/boxer with timing, would actually nullify a volume puncher's volume. Mayweather, Marquez, Wladimir Klitschko, and Bernard Hopkins were all very good at this.

With that said, from the few fights i've seen of Lopez, especially his lone fight versus a top 10 LW, he didn't look like a patient counterpunching/timing type of boxer.
I personally think he has problems setting up his shots and relies a lot of his power/athletism to carry him.

His punch against Commey imo was a lucky punch. Both guys were throwing right crosses at the same time and Lopez landed because his shot was faster.

No different than two guys throwing rear hooks at the same time.

The one time he was challenged it was because he was at a severe reach disadvantage and he didn't have the IQ to overcome and was visibly frustrated.

Because my posts stand out. It would be too obvious to spot me. Everyone will tell you that.

I assure you - if Teofimo beats Loma, and I don't even care if it's a questionable win. If that man's hand gets raised over Loma, I promise you will NEVER see or hear from me on this board. EVER. That's what I expect from whoever takes the bet, too, and BoxingScene mods can spot alts fairly easily.

Anyone confident in Lopez has nothing to lose.

I am with Revelated. You guys are just trying to find the next Lomachenko killer until the day of the fight.
Then they loose and you find another killer until that one also looses.

Lopez is not a killer. He’s a green fighter. Idk why some boxing fans think Lopez stands a chance against an elite fighter at this point of their careers.

There are other skilled fighters Lopez could have fought to show us what he’s got, who are ranked lower than Lomachenko but would still be good fights. Barthelemy, Fortuna, Easter for example. He could have even started with lower tier guys like Linares or Campbell to see how fast he can dispatch of them. Now he will maybe fight those guys after losing to Lomachenko, which I think is a backwards career move.

What I was trying to say is that people are looking for the next Loma killer since Walters, when they fail, they look for a new one.

Loma is going to dance in this kid's head and then he will destroy Teo

I understood what you were saying, I was agreeing with it by adding to it. I know you were saying people are fabricating a killer for Lomachenko, and will probably use hindsight bias afterward. Although i've been saying from the start that this is not a good match for Lopez because he is highly inexperienced at the top level.

Not even a Loma fan but how on earth can you sit there and call someone Bumachenko and expect to be taken seriously?
