If Lopez comes looking for the knockout he won’t get it. He has to box first and second. If the KO is there then go for it.

Loma’s movement is 2nd to none, the pace will be a lot to handle for Lopez. He needs to stay patient and poised. Hopefully the Commey fight didn’t go to his head.

Making you eat your words is plenty fun for me.

But I will compromise. I pick Loma to win and you pick Lopez to win. Loser runs the sig pick of the winners choice until their fighter wins again.

      Deal?

Agreed. Loma is a proven commodity already. Lopez is the one with a chip on his shoulder bc we don't know what he'll look like with the level of opponent he has in front of him. He's never faced adversity and Loma is definitely the type of guy who will put him through it. We'll see what he's really made of come fight night.

The Nakatani fight is an example of that. When the fairly basic (and tall) Japanese fighter kept walking through his punches and pushed the pace, he seemed very frustrated in the ring. He let Nakatani land a good amount of leather on him and he's lucky the Japanese fighter didn't have more power. After the fight, he had alot of excuses and complained that Nakatani was too tall.

Lopez may blast Loma out of there. If he finds success early, he will be incredibly dangerous. However, if he can't land cleanly on Loma and starts to get tagged, I wonder if he will get frustrated again and wonder if that extreme confidence disappears.
That's my thought exactly, and so far Lopez has shown himself to be explosive early. We know that Teo will move forward in a shell stance, with his right hand locked and loaded to fire off a right hand counter. Loma will probably advance cautiously himself, looking to create an angle to attack.

There are so many variables and that's what makes this fight so exciting. As for my pick, I think Loma has more ways to win than Teo. Here are the possible scenarios I see:

              1. Loma's footwork and angles enable him to avoid Teo's attempts to land a huge counter. Loma lands body shots and is able to withstand some hard shots from Teo as he takes over down the stretch to win a decision

              2. Teo catches Loma as he looks to advance with his hands down. Teo then unloads with vicious power shots to force a stoppage.

              3. Loma stabs and pokes his way to an early lead by scoring points while Teo follows him around looking for the knockout.
Down on the cards, Teo then has to open up more than he would like and he gets countered all night.

With all that said, I'm picking Loma by decision but I will gladly give Teo full credit if he proves me wrong.

Agreed. The Nakatani fight showed some of his inexperience and lack of patience when things aren't going his way(credit to Nakatani who was solid). Loma is the king of frustrating guys in the ring and that might just be the young man's undoing. His size along with the ability to keep up with Loma's speed and movement will be a big factor in this one.

I find it hilarious how so many on here are predicting a Lopez win because of youth and power against a time and time again proven three division world champion. Experience is the factor on who wins this fight. Every Lopez supporter like Lopez himself already have a line up of excuses

Lol, well he's been pretty successful with it.

Trash talk is good for building up the fight but u don't think it's going to help in the ring. Lopez has a punchers' chance to keep it interesting but Loma's probably going to school him.
