Former two division world champion Jose "Sniper" Pedraza will likely not fight again until the first quarter of 2021. Pedraza saw action twice in 2020, with a dominant decision win over Carlos Molina on September 19 at the MGM Grand's Conference Center in Las Vegas.

Heck yeah, loving what Pedraza is doing and I would bet on him beating Zepeda in a rematch

I wish that Pedraza had stayed with his original plan, and take another fight before the end of the year. He's been looking phenomenal in his last two fights, because he's been fighting regularly. He shouldn't change that formula by one iota, continue fighting regularly it keeps you sharp.

I'm telling you as good as Pedraza looks at 140, I believe that he would do even better at 147. My analysis is that it's would be his optimum weight, and he'd be that much stronger. Finally having the power to finish off opponents who he's had hurt, or dropped Javier Molina, Mikkel LesPierre, and Raymund Beltran. He had all these three on the brink of a knockout yet they went the distance. I believe at 147 he'd be knocking opponents out in that division.

          I think you're right.

Pedraza should stay active, frequent fighting keeps a boxer well honed.

              February 4, 2019:

Pedraza's Coach: Teofimo Lopez Brings Nothing To The Table!

One of the possible fights being discussed with Pedraza, is a confrontation against Teofimo López, an opponent who brings little appeal to the Puerto Rican boxer's team.

They see no upside in beating an undefeated, rising contender in Lopez - unless there is something of worth at stake.

"The question we have to ask ourselves is what can he bring to the table? To our judgment, nothing. If he wants to use us as a ladder to climb up, he's wrong, "Espada reacted to Carlos Gonzalez. "We're going to look upwards and not answer the call to help elevate someone else.

"It seems that Teofimo thinks that since José looked good against Lomachenko, he can use him to make a name for himself. The only way he would be attractive for us is if there is a title at stake."

Two division world champion Jose "Sniper" Pedraza could be back in the ring as early as next May. Luis Espada, father and trainer of the Puerto Rican fighter, revealed that he has had conversations about possible comeback scenarios. Pedraza was in action back in December, when he lost a twelve round unanimous decision to Vasiliy Lomachenko in their WBO, WBA lightweight unification clash.

Nothing else to say about Jose Pedraza!
